The day before Caroline and Chris' wedding was a beautiful day in New Orleans. I spent time scouting out some perfect locations at the Audubon Park for their First Look. The light was glorious and beautiful and it felt so good to get inspired the day before their wedding! I also got to try a salmon and egg crepe for the first time from Crepes a la Cart, which happened to be just around the corner from their ceremony location (but that's another story for another time). After scouting locations, I attended their rehearsal dinner at Commander's Palace. I loved getting to hear all the heartfelt toasts and wishes for this incredible couple. And I got to see a little peek into what makes these two so amazing together. . .they're both family oriented to the max, very hardworking, but also fun-loving, and they have supported and loved each other through the thick and thin. The joy that their family and friends had for them the night before their wedding was so thick in the air. I need to start attending more rehearsal dinners!
Come their wedding day, it was apparent that my plans for their First Look were going to need to change. As Caroline sipped happily on her mimosa and laughed with her gals while getting ready, the rain pelted the windows of her hotel. The weather got so crazy that at one point, an alarm went off in the building. Because Caroline and Chris were getting married in one of the most beautiful churches in New Orleans, that became the next obvious location for their First Look. It ended up being perfect! The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt. Afterwards, we headed over to the Audubon Tea Room for the reception. (Oh and some amazing bridal party shots on the carousel behind the Tea Room!) Both Caroline and Chris let me know that their reception would have a lot of crazy dancing, and they were so not wrong. You just have to see the photos. What a fun and amazing day! Congrats you two!
Big thanks to Lisa Cooke for second shooting. <3
