Bay St. Louis, MS Wedding || Presley + Michael

What does baseball have to do with love? For Presley and Michael, pretty much everything, as it’s what brought a girl from South Mississippi to Maryland, to meet a boy from the Northeast. These two were chosen along with 16 others for an internship at the National Baseball Hall of fame, out of 400 applicants. 18 people out of 400, and 2 out of the 18 fell in love pretty hard and pretty fast. Presley says that as soon as she and Michael started dating, she knew that they were never breaking up (which made waiting for the ring a little difficult!). I love that they chose to get married in Presley’s hometown Bay St. Louis, and in very South Mississippi fashion, it rained its hardest the morning of their wedding. The plan was to get married under some beautiful oak trees overlooking the bay, and only until an hour before the ceremony when it cleared up, were we sure that plan would still take place. I’m pretty sure that Presley still might have pushed for the wedding to happen outdoors under the trees even if it was raining, and I think that Michael would be totally up for the adventure as well.

There were so many heartfelt touches throughout the day: the bridal crown that Presley’s mom wore on her wedding day, earrings gifted from Presley’s dad to her mom, a gifted tie to the bride’s dad with a photo of him holding Presley as a baby, baseball Keds for the reception, bridesmaids helping to adorn the wedding arch, and lots and lots of tears (and maybe a few tongues being stuck out…haha). Presley was absolutely stunning in her garden inspired dress and veil, and I don’t know if anyone can pull of a floral tie like Michael can. The mood was whimsical, lighthearted, fun, and at time rambunctious…just like a garden in full bloom. As someone who best loves to photograph all the feels, this day was one of my favorite ever! Presley and Michael, it has been a joy getting to know you two and capture your amazing love story. xoxo, Jessica
